Karlsruher SC - Wildparkstadion

The Deer Park Stadium is a football stadium in Karlsruhe. It is the center of a system of several sports and exercise areas, a tennis court and other sports facilities in Karlsruhe Hardtwald. The main user is the football section of the Karlsruhe SC. A use as an athletics stadium will be no more, because the running track was removed in the course of a game field installation part. The stadium was built in 1955 in place of the old FC-Phoenix sports field in 1921 and originally had 55 000 seats. This number was reduced by several changes in regulations and expanded through conversions, currently it has 29 699 seats and standing room. It is owned by the city of Karlsruhe and is leased to the user.
